Buy The Book. How to build Chi? Soft - The harder you work, the softer you get. The continuous, gentle flow of Tai Chi reflects the Player’s inner softness but to the untrained eye it appears to merely be an exercise in slow motion. Not so. The degree of softness is directly proportionate to degree of the stretch and pliancy of the player’s ligaments, tendons and soft tissue, for example that which surrounds joints. Tai Chi, Yoga and Chi Gung primarily do just that, namely stretch and strengthen soft tissue thereby loosening jointed areas and producing more internal “space” to accommodate expanding movements. This is true even in Martial Arts where such softness greatly contributes to the level of power combative Chi can deliver. However, there is no shortcut to Soft and there’s no substitute for practice. So, the harder you work, the softer you get. By Jude Brady Smallwood Writer, Tai Chi Instructor and Playe | ||
Why Donate? A message from Jude Over the years I have provided free books and free downloaded books to many people including military Veterans, students, retirees, strangers, libraries and any interested parties. Any donations received will be solely used to sponsor and support this initiative and provide some production cost relief. I received zero compensation for hundreds of hours of my own personal time to compose, produce the text, layouts, design, all the art, marketing and distribution. Whenever I conduct a Pro Bono class, everyone automatically gets a free copy. The dissemination of the valuable information concerning health, exercising and martial arts shared is my main goal. So your contribution is really appreciated. However, your greatest contribution is simply to read and enjoy What Is Chi? And remember, your Chi is free - use it, grow it and reap the benefits. Thank you. Jude, Writer, Tai Chi Instructor and Player |
